Where is Lindsay?

Lindsay is located in the heart of Kawartha Lakes, also known as the hub of business and commerce in the region. It is part of the Trent Severn waterway which connects most of the large lakes in the Kawartha Lakes region. It flows through the towns of Gelert, Kinmount and Burnt River.

What is there to do in Lindsay?

Lindsay is home to many activities for families and residents of all ages to participate in. In the summer months, they regularly have farmers markets where you can get fresh local produce and goods. During the week, walk over to the park to listen to live music or try your luck at tennis, softball or soccer at their free local parks.

The downtown core is home to many family owned restaurants and boutique shops. Enjoy the nature just outside of town at Ken Reid Conservation Area or take a walk along the path on the Scugog River.

Small town, big city amenities

Lindsay has a number of large grocery store outlets, big box stores and chain restaurants to choose from. If you’re looking for something more specific, Lindsay is within an half hour to Peterborough and an hour from Durham Region.

Lindsay is home to just over 22,000 residents with a mix of everything from single family Victorian homes, new build homes, retirement condominiums, rental apartment buildings, and larger acre family farms on the outskirts of town. It has become a popular area for people wanting to escape the city without straying too far away.

Lindsay is surrounded by nature, which includes a number of conservation areas with public trails and dog friendly areas. These trails are a great way to get outside anytime of year to immerse yourself in nature and see wildlife in action.
